“We are now departing Madrid after 3 wonderful days in the nation’s capital. We are visiting Avila this morning (home to Saint Theresa of Avila) and we will spend the night in Salamanca.
As we continue our journey on the Iberian Peninsula, we will continue to head westbound until we depart Lisbon for Boston. I will keep you updated as we continue our journey.
The attached photo is our group in front of the walls of Avila.”
Later that day, they visited the beautiful cathedral at Salamanca. Sister Lisa is pictured with Saint Theresa of Avila.
