State Orders Schools Closed; SRA Continues Online Learning
March 18, 2020
Based on the governor’s announcement today that all schools in Rhode Island should remain closed for the next two weeks and as advised by the Diocese of Providence, Saint Raphael Academy will keep its buildings closed and students will continue their online learning during that time.
We are saddened to come to this decision, but as we have been doing since the beginning, we are following the guidance from the RIDOH and the governor’s office, who are working tirelessly to “flatten the curve” to try to keep this pandemic from worsening.
This is a truly unprecedented time in history. Thankfully, we have been prepared for virtual learning since 2016, and we will do what we are asked to do for the good of our communities without sacrificing the education of our students.
To our students: continue to do your work, ask for help when you need it, and look for creative ways to connect with others. I have faith in you, and so do all of the faculty and staff at SRA.
To everyone in our community (parents, students, families, alumni and SRA faculty and staff), we know this is a challenging time but remember,
