Saint Raphael Academy Welcome to the Saints family. Welcome home.

In-Person Audiences Welcomed for One-Act Play

March 29, 2022

After a year and a half hiatus, Saint Raphael Academy Drama Club is once again welcoming in-person audiences to its performances! The spring one-act play is “Knock, Knock” by Kathryn Funkhouser and Jason Pizzarello, which will be performed by the Drama Club on Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9, at 7 pm in the Coutu Theater.

“Knock, Knock” is a short, comedic play about the trials of being a package delivery driver. Logan, played by Isabel Sullivan, and Sam, played by Josh Farrell, encounter all sorts of personas behind the doors they knock on during their shifts. The comedy highlights their differences in attitude and is full of surprises.

The play is also Saint Raphael Academy’s entry in the Rhode Island Drama Festival in April. The festival will be virtual again this year, and schools will submit a recording of their performance to be reviewed by the festival committee. The winning entry will represent Rhode Island in the New England Drama Festival, which will also be held virtually in late spring. Details are still being finalized.

Masks are optional at both performances at SRA. Tickets can be reserved (at right) and paid for at the door the night of the performance. Tickets are $10 adults and $5 students, seniors and faculty/staff. Reservations will close two hours before showtime.
