This policy applies to all students, regardless of whether you reside in Rhode Island or Massachusetts.
If you are traveling to a state that has a positivity rate greater than 5% at any time during your stay there, you will be required to quarantine at home for 14 days upon your return home, whether or not you have a COVID-19 test. For the school’s policy, we will be following the Rhode Island Department of Health list of States with Travel Restrictions. This chart changes often, so be sure to refer to it throughout your time away from Rhode Island or Massachusetts.
International travel (outside of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia) also requires a 14-day quarantine upon returning back to Rhode Island or Massachusetts.
For more information about testing and quarantine for travelers, see the Rhode Island Department of Health’s website page, Travel Information for Residents and Visitors.
