President-Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to the Saint Raphael Academy website. I am pleased that you will have the opportunity to visit with us through these pages so you may learn more about what is fondly referred to as “the Saint Ray’s family.” Since being established in 1924 by the Diocese of Providence and the (Lasallian) Brothers of the Christian Schools, St.Raphael Academy has been part of a worldwide educational ministry of excellence and innovation that spans three centuries.

Through its commitment to our Lasallian tradition, Saint Raphael Academy guides the development of each student’s unique talents by attending to their religious, academic, social, artistic and athletic needs. We provide a safe learning environment that places a priority on mutual respect and self-discipline.

These are exciting times at Saint Ray’s! Over the summer we added new technology to our campus through equipping our computer labs with new computers, we updated the main office of our East campus and our plan to modernize our collegiate style campus with the transformation of the Lynch Gym into a premier Fine Arts Center is underway.  Innovation in our academic curriculum is evident by the expansion of our International Studies Program, the development of an Alumni-Mentoring program and participation in sustainable agriculture and urban gardens projects.

For many young people, high school represents four of the most formative years of their life. At Saint Raphael Academy we attend to the development of the “whole child.”  Our students are welcomed and known as individuals, they are inspired everyday to discover their God given gifts and talents and they are challenged to build the foundation that is needed for future success. Our dedicated faculty, staff, coaches, moderators and administrators are committed to ensure that the Academy continues to respond to the needs of our students through advancements in teaching, technology and scholarship.  Thank you for your continued support of our educational mission on Walcott Street where our students are welcomed, inspired and challenged!

Live Jesus in our hearts forever!
