Take a journey back to Pawtucket, RI, in 1955.  “SAINTS the Musical” is a Payton Production written by brothers and Saint Raphael graduates Don Payton ’56 and David Payton ’66, and will be performed at the Coutu Theater June 26-28.  This rollicking new musical written by Kaleidoscope Theatre’s Executive Director David Payton is based on his brother Don’s hilarious book Friends are Thicker than Water: Tales of a Misspent Youth.  Don’s book takes place in 1955 at Saint Raphael Academy, where he was class vice-president and captain of the football team that was undefeated, untied and unscored upon, thus becoming known as the Un-Un-Un Saints.

“SAINTS the Musical” is a fun-filled and nostalgic account of the many misadventures of two best friends who played football, caddied, sold bibles and cookware, and spent a great summer on Narragansett Beach.  The hijinks and comedic tales from Don’s book come to life through music, dance and song.

Show times are Friday and Saturday, June 26 and 27, 2015, at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. Advance tickets are available online at saintsthemusical.brownpapertickets.com and can also be purchased at the door for each performance. Ticket price is $15.
