Saints Olympic Week is here! This week marks the annual week of fun and fundraising at Saint Raphael Academy, culminating in a pep rally on Friday afternoon that will recognize our winter teams’ achievements. Students will show their spirit by dressing according to each day’s theme, while also supporting many worthwhile charities. Students will earn points for their class by participating in the activities, and winners will be announced at the end of each day. Those who are dressed exceptionally in the spirit of the day will earn even more points for their class. Faculty and staff are encouraged to participate as well! The schedule is as follows:

Monday, March 23

Dress down and wear all red attire for $2 to benefit the American Heart Association

Tuesday, March 24

Dress in as much purple and gold as you can!

Wednesday, March 25 

Each class has its own theme:

Freshmen –Miss Match Day – Wear as much mix and match as possible

Sophomores – Western Day – Dress as a cowboy or cowgirl

Juniors – Disney Day – Dress as your favorite Disney character

Seniors – Black Out Day – Dress in black and white clothes

Faculty/Staff – Choose a class to support

Thursday, March 26

Dress down in sports related items from head to toe!

Friday, March 27

Class Colors Day:

Freshmen – Black

Sophomores – Green

Juniors – Blue

Seniors – Red

Faculty/Staff – Choose a class to support

 

As part of the festivities, there will be the daily charity challenge. All week, students may bring in items to support the following charities:

Rhode Island Community Food Bank – Students can bring in jars of peanut butter and will receive 10 points for their class for each jar.

Ronald McDonald House – Students can bring in books, deodorant, stickers, toilet paper, toothpaste (3 points each), and paper towels (5 points each) to help families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

Saint Mary’s, our sister school in Kenya – Students can put pennies in their grade’s container in the East Cafeteria and earn points. However, they can also place bills in other classes’ containers that will count against their totals!
