The Saint Raphael Academy Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) will be competing in the Rhode Island Leadership Conference today (Wednesday, March 5, 2014) at the Johnson and Wales University Harbor Side Campus.

FBLA is a largest and oldest business student organization in the world and it helps students prepare for careers in business and business-related fields. Through state-based competitions at spring Leadership Conferences, students complete in events testing their business knowledge and skills and the top state winners are then eligible to compete at the National Leadership Conference each summer.

The SAINTS team is comprised of 40 students spanning all grades. Saint Raphael Academy is the only Catholic school in the state to participate in FBLA, and the dedication Ms. Monahan has for this team is unparalleled and is expressed by the outstanding success this team has achieved.

FBLA began at SAINTS during the 2002 school year and our team enters this year’s conference with a great deal of confidence and expectation. They hope to place in a variety of events and lead the field in categories such as community service projects, public service announcements and client service presentations.

The announcement of the top state winners will take place on Monday, March 10, where Ms. Monahan and the FBLA team hope to take home hardware to add to the collection that already exists here at Saint Raphael Academy.

Good luck to our Future Business Leaders of America!
