Saint Raphael Academy will be well represented at the many Lasallian formation events offered this summer:

Ms. Allison Amodie (Theology) will participate in the Buttimer Institute at Saint Mary’s College, Moraga, CA The Buttimer Institute is an intensive Lasallian formation and education program that studies the life and work of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the origins of the Lasallian educational mission

Ms. Sandy Smith (Math) and Mr. Kenneth Kirejczyk (Social Studies) will be attending the Lasallian Social Justice Institute (LSJI) Christian  Brothers University in Memphis, TN.   Based on the gospel and our Lasallian vocation seeking social justice and service to the poor. Developed by partners and Brothers, it is a response to the call from both grassroots Lasallians and General Chapters of the Brothers for programs that strengthen “association for educational services of the poor.”

Ms. Nancy Benoit (Pastoral Services) and Ms. Kristen Murphy (Foreign Language) will accompany students to the Lasallian Youth Summer Assembly held at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. A week-long retreat in which Lasallian youth gather to learn, work in service and engage in the efforts of others within the Lasallian mission.

Mrs. Donohue-Lynch (President-Principal) will be presenting at VEGA: Young Lasallians: A continuing response to the call of the Institute to provide a particular space for educative and formative experiences for Lasallian educators between 22-35 years old.  She will also be presenting at the Brother’s Retreat to be held at La Salle University in August.
