Adam Young, Pastor of St. Paul, Cranston; Fr. Jonathan DeFelice, Vice Chancellor and Assistant Moderator of the Curia; Fr. Vijay Kiran, Associate Pastor, St. Thomas More, Narragansett; Monsignor Paul Theroux, Pastor of Holy Apostles, Cranston; Monsignor Jay Darcy, Pastor of St. Margaret, Rumford; Fr. William Ledoux, Pastor of St. Mary, Cranston; Fr. James Collins, Pastor Emeritus of St. Matthew, Cranston; Fr. Robert Forcier, Pastor of St. Augustine, Providence; Fr. Scott Carpentier, Associate Pastor of St. Augustine, Providence; and Fr. John Codega, Pastor of St. Brendan, Riverside.

lpp_036During his homily, the bishop spoke of how glad he was to be a part of the Mass and recognized the “great work going on at Saint Raphael Academy” and its increase in enrollment. The nearly full church listened intently as the bishop addressed the students. He asked them to think about what they would consider to be their priorities. Aside from school and family, he asked that they also strive to make service to others an important part of their lives.

Prayers were also asked for a successful school year for all students. Before students were dismissed, the Academy presented Bishop Tobin with an SRA sweatshirt to commemorate his visit.
