Tuition & Financial Assistance
Tuition & Fees:
Tuition for the 2017-2018 academic year is $12,350, which includes a $500.00 non-refundable, non-transferable fee due upon date of registration. The tuition for the 2018-2019 academic year will be announced in late January 2018.
Saint Raphael Academy has always been and will always be a school that never takes the financial commitment of its families for granted and always remains committed to making a Saint Raphael Academy education affordable. In fact, the Academy has always been among the most affordable options for Catholic high school in the area.
For information regarding tuition, fees, and payment plans, please see the Tuition, Fees, & Tuition Assistance Fact Sheet.
Academic scholarships are awarded by the Academy to the applicants who earn the highest scores on the entrance test and have grades commensurate with their ability. Recipients of these awards will be notified in their acceptance letters. Students who take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) at the Academy will receive priority consideration for merit aid.
Rhode Island Catholic School Tuition Credit:
A tuition credit of $1,500 per year is being offered to all incoming freshmen students who have graduated from a Rhode Island Catholic elementary school. The tuition credit is available all four years as long as the student remains in good academic standing and maintains good conduct.
Need-Based Financial Aid:
Approximately 75% of our student body is currently receiving some form of need-based financial aid. Need-based financial aid is provided by Saint Raphael Academy and the Diocese of Providence.
In order to be considered for need-based aid, applicants must complete an application with FACTS, a company hired by the Diocese to evaluate a family’s financial need.
As of November, 1, 2016, applicants can file an application with FACTS for the 2016-2017 academic year. The Academy strongly encourages all applicants to complete this application online at www.online.FACTSmgt.com.
Families can file an application with FACTS for the 2017-2018 academic year after November 1, 2015. If an application is completed by the priority deadline of December 24, 2016, and if your student is accepted, you will be notified of the financial aid award with your January acceptance letter.
It is of the utmost importance that an application be completed no later than February 14, 2017, as the availability of aid sharply decreases after that due date. Applications filed after mid-February will be processed as they are received.
Financial aid awards are for one year only. Returning students must reapply to be considered for financial aid in future years. That being said, assuming returning students file their aid application on time, and there is no material change in the family’s financial circumstances, Saint Raphael Academy will do its best to maintain awards in future years. Returning students will be notified of their financial aid awards for the 2017-2018 academic year in April 2017, provided the application was filed by mid-February.
If you have any questions about your FACTS application please do not hesitate to contact members of our Business Office at 401-723-8100 x112 or FACTS directly at 1-866-315-9262.
For more information about need-based and other sources of financial aid please see the Tuition, Fees, & Tuition Assistance Fact Sheet.
