Application Process

Applicants for the Class of 2016:

.
If you are currently a student in grade 8 and are interested in applying for acceptance into the Academy’s Class of 2016, which begins grade 9 in the Fall of 2012, the application process is relatively simple:

  • First, download, print, complete, and mail in the Application for Admission to the Admissions Office at Saint Raphael Academy (123 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860). Please ensure that you include the $25 application fee, which covers all costs associated with the processing of an application and the Entrance Test, and the final page of the application, the Transcript Release Statement.

Once a complete application for admission is received and the applicant has taken the Entrance Test, the Admissions Office will then request the applicant’s transcript and a recommendation from the applicant’s current school. Once the applicant’s complete transcript and recommendation are received, the applicant will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
The first round of letters indicating the Admissions Committee’s decisions will be sent out on January 27, 2012 for applicants to the Class of 2016.

There is no deadline for application into the Class of 2016, but in order to be notified of the Admissions Committee’s decision on January 27, 2012, the application must be received by January 13, 2012. Applications received after January 14, 2011 will require at least 10 business days after receipt of the applicant’s transcript and entrance test scores before a decision is rendered.

Please note, that, while all applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships during the admissions process, if you wish to be considered for need-based financial aid, you must complete a separate need-based financial aid application. More information about financial aid can be found here.
